Lazy Weekend.....Finally

I actually spent an entire day at home this weekend. Now I know for many people this does not seem like an amazing accomplishment, but for me this is huge. I can’t actually remember the last time I got to spend an entire day at home. Plus it was Sunday so I got to spend the majority of the day watching football. I would have preferred to see the Bengals play better than the local Pop Warner league. I would have preferred to watch Farve play last night against Minnesota, but at this point I’ll settle for a full day at home.

So what did we do on the days we weren’t home you ask. Friday brought a trip to the eye doctor so that I could hear exactly how blind I am for like the 18th year in a row. The boyfriend decided to try contacts. It made more sense than prescription snorkel googles and cycling shades. I have to say I am proud of him. I remember it took me more than an hour to put contacts in for the first time, and he got it in like the 4th try. Then off to pick out new glasses. Good sturdy glasses that can withstand the load from the lenses without deforming. Then off to run the usual errands: Sams (yes, a family of 2 with a dog & turtle justifies bulk shopping), Meijer, the bank, etc. Saturday we cleaned the house and put away a mountain of laundry that had been collecting on the love seat in the living room for weeks. I’m not kidding it had to be almost a foot over the top of the sofa. Then we attended a 1st birthday party for one of the gazillion children born to our friends last year. All in all it was a pretty tame weekend. As mentioned earlier Sunday was great. I got to work on my Photoshop skills and watch football. Perfect day………

Other than school (the boyfriend has class on Monday nights up north in the big city) and work this week looks to be fairly tame as well.
